BIM Technician

BIM Technician Chelmsford area £30,000 to £45,000 DOE OR742 Our client is a successful Brickwork and Masonry contractor who work with some of the most high profile residential developers in Essex and London. As part of the companies preconstruction division, you will be joining an inhouse design team who produce 3D designs using Revit to help the company win and deliver projects. As a BIM Technician you will be primarily using Revit to produce these designs to support with housebuilding / construction projects. This is the perfect position for someone who is pro-active and keen to learn because you’ll gain exposure to exciting and unique designs and you will build relationships with stakeholders across the business. ROLE: * Responsible for the day-to day planning and implanting of projects * Manage and coordinate BIM standards development, implementation, and quality on all related files and models * Provide CAD drafting/BIM modelling support * Develop BIM plans and understand the scope of work for subcontractors * Demonstrate a strong understanding of constructions workflow processes and priorities * Ability to manage multiple ongoing and complex projects while being able to successfully meet the requirements * Troubleshoot any BIM related issues * Manage BIM project benchmarks to meet project deadlines * Contribute to the documentation, dissemination and monitoring of standards, best practices, and industry advancements * Partner with the field and prefab teams to create plans for the implementation of model-based prefabrication * Experience with Revit and AutoCAD is essential. * Knowledge of creating Revit Families is essential Hours of Work: 8am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday CANDIADTE: You will have had exposure to designing models for housebuilding and construction projects. You will have confidence using building/construction design software (such as Revit).
