Job Title: Direct Works Manager

The Parks Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Direct Works Manager to join our team. As a key member of our landscape operations team, you will be responsible for managing our directly employed landscape workforce, specializing in forestry, arboriculture, landscape maintenance, and hard works.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and prioritize the workflow for different teams, ensuring effective communication between Direct Works and Landscape Officers.
• Oversee the operation of the Global House depot and assist the Property team in maintenance and compliance.
• Manage and maintain the Parks Trust's fleet of vehicles and machinery.
• Support the team in promoting the values and culture of the organization.

Requirements:

• A full driving license is required.
• Excellent leadership skills and the ability to lead by example.
• Effective communication skills with team members, other Trust staff, public, and third parties.
• Well-organized and able to work under high pressure.
• Experience of fleet management.
• Prepared and motivated to take on further training to enhance individual skill levels.
• Experience of using Microsoft 365.

Desirable:

• Experience of parks management, including forestry, arboriculture, landscape maintenance, and hard landscaping.
