By embracing these values, we deliver better, more accessible, and inclusive public services. Your Role and Its Impact The IT Procurement Officer will be responsible for the delivery of Procurement services to clients within the NS Government and Nova Scotia Health.  In more detail, the Officer will: Work with complex purchase orders of IT hardware and software, billing, cost recoveries, and reconciliation Working with Service Level Agreements and Operational Level Agreements Reconciling vendors, client statements, bulk, and consignment orders of $1,000,000 or more with efficient and accurate delivery Execute audits and troubleshoot discrepancies. Perform system administration functions to include monitoring software jobs and tools, while problem solving and identifying issues. Work with automated procurement systems and tools Manage and resolve escalations pertaining to the procurement and delivery of IT hardware and software. Work with software license management and IT Asset Management & Procurement projects Work independently and as a team member, coaching and mentoring team members and clients.As a Officer you will also be responsible for: Working with senior leadership and executives on Service Excellence Requests Working with vendors to build relationships and understand IT contracts. Creating and managing procurement catalogs Working in a high pressure and fast paced environment with the ability to multitask and to meet strict deadlines. Timely resolution to procurement and billing inquiries IT Ticket and Que Management Implementing solutions and ensure appropriate risk management. Providing procurement services and support to special IT projects.To be Successful, You Have Proven experience to bring to the role of the IT Procurement Officer, to provide service excellence to clients in the NS Government and Nova Scotia Health; you are passionate about working in IT Asset Management and Procurement and with IT Vendors. You are experienced in IT technology and understand current technology trends and service provision. You have proven experience in procurement services such as purchasing, cost recovery, billing, financial reporting, analyzing, and problem solving.  Other keys to your success would include: Have strong decision-making skills. Ability to interact with all organizational levels and demonstrate strong professional presence. Ability to communicate and ensure the client is well-informed of the necessary steps to resolve their issues. Demonstrate ability to manage client and vendor relationships. Demonstrate the ability to schedule tasks and priorities, in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, recommend and implement solutions. Promote and maintain a professional and positive attitude between the different teams during times of pressure. Demonstrated experience of reconciliation of vendor accounts Knowledge of software such as FileNet, Assyst, SAP, Adobe, Excel, Outlook Email. Knowledge of IT Asset Management including IT Hardware & Software Experience working with complex projects in Procurement.Education & Experience Graduation from a recognized information technology program. Or an equivalent combination of training and experience may be acceptable in place of education requirements.
