Director of Finance

Our client seeks a Director of Finance to lead their financial systems and team in North America. The role requires an experienced leader skilled in strategic analysis, financial reporting, and executive communication. The candidate will drive day-to-day operations and long-term financial growth, ensuring compliance with current accounting practices and trends.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic guidance and leadership in corporate planning.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements in Canada and the US.
• Oversee and manage all financial and management reporting.
• Direct the preparation and oversight of budgets and forecasts.
• Develop and sustain comprehensive financial models.
• Design and produce KPI reports to monitor performance.
• Manage cash flow and prepare detailed cash flow forecasts.
• Create and maintain accurate monthly financial statements.
• Conduct ROI and portfolio valuations.
• Oversee contract management processes.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications:

• MBA in finance or a related field. Professional certification such as CA, CPA, or CMA
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role.
• Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with SOC 2 compliance standards.
• Preferable experience in the financial services or real estate industry.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
