Financial Accountant – Scunthorpe – Hybrid

Financial Accountant Responsibilities:
 

• Responsibility for the nominal ledger including posting of all journal entries and reconciliation of all control accounts
• Responsibility for all entries and reconciliation of all bank accounts, including initiating payments for approval
• Work with the project managers and ops team to ensure the sales invoices are produced in a timely manner and to track and trace any late payments to ensure cash management
• Production of weekly cashflows, predominantly around the timing of purchase ledger payments
• Processing of expenses and credit cards
• Fixed asset management, including disposals
• Assist with annual budgeting process
• Ad-hoc financial accounting requirements, including annual returns
• On an ad-hoc basis offering support to the finance team to cover holidays and sickness

Required Skills & Experience:

• Excellent communication skills
• Similar varied accounting role including in a similar high-volume position
• IT literate including excel and accounting packages
• Ability to work well as a team within a group environment
