KS2 Teaching Assistant

Smile Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic KS2 Teaching Assistant to join one of our partner primary schools in Oldbury. If you are passionate about working with children, supporting their learning journey, and helping them to achieve their full potential, this could be the perfect role for you!
Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting the classroom teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons
• Working 1:1 or in small groups with students to enhance their learning and development
• Providing additional support to students with special educational needs (SEN) or those needing extra help
• Helping to maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Assisting with the preparation of resources and classroom materials
• Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging pupil participation

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with primary-aged children, preferably within KS2
• A genuine passion for education and helping children succeed
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to work as part of a team, but also show initiative when working independently
• An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
• A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2/3) is desirable but not essential
