Full UK Driving Licence and Own Vehicle - Preferred NB: Our client is open to considering local candidates who cannot drive, but any candidates living outside of the Bicester area will need a full UK driving licence and access to their own vehicle. - - - Professional Competencies ?? ? Requires a minimum of 1 years experience in a similar Senior Sous Chef role ? Requires a minimum of 3 years experience working in a busy kitchen setting ? Needs to have proven experience leading and motivating teams of staff ? Must be experienced working with fresh, seasonal produce ? Requires strong knowledge of food safety and HACCP requirements ? Must have strong client management and customer service skills ? Requires experience working in high-end, fine dining settings ? Candidates with a Level 3 Food Hygiene qualification are preferred ? Food preparation or health and safety qualifications are desirable - - - Behavioural Attributes ?? ? Must have excellent communications skills ? Able to effectively engage and motivate teams of staff ? Must be passionate about delivering top quality food ? Excellent team player who can work independently when required ? Must be enthusiastic and willing to contribute ideas to the menu ? Experienced and adaptable within fast-paced environments ? Experience overseeing staff performance and disciplinaries is desirable - - - Duties and Responsibilities ?? Please note, this list is not exhaustive of all duties and responsibilities; ? Effectively supporting with all tasks across a multi-site business ? Leading and managing the wider kitchen team alongside the Head Chef ? Supporting the Head Chef with rota planning and absence management ? Typically working the breakfast and lunch, or lunch and dinner service ? Consistently maintaining strict hygiene and cleanliness standards ? Ensuring full compliance with company policy and UK law ? Preparing and cooking seasonal and other menu items as required ? Learning how to correctly use kitchen equipment and training staff as required ? Overseeing all production, stock, and operational kitchen concerns ? Helping to creatively and professionally plate dishes ? Stock management including placing new supplier orders ? Ensuring full compliance with company policy and UK law ? Adhering to the Food Safety Act and Health and Safety at Work policies ? Working in line with COSHH and fire regulations at all times ? Creating and implementing new food concepts and menu items ? Responsible for designing menus and assigning costs to products ? Assisting with cleaning the kitchen and food preparation areas ? Correctly labelling, storing and, rotating stock as required ? Helping to guide, train, and develop junior members of the team ? Recognising and supporting with training needs within the team ? Managing catering needs for business events and functions ?
