Who You Are

  • You are passionate about developing games and releasing high quality products.

  • You are a seasoned professional game developer with a track record of shipping high quality mobile game titles on Android and iOS in a lead or senior role.

  • You have a deep understanding of game client and server environments.

  • You are comfortable building a product from the ground up or jumping in to work on an existing product.

  • You understand code. You are comfortable working with complex systems by analyzing existing logic and determining the best path forward to work with the system.

  • You understand infrastructure. You know a mobile game is far more complex than what you see on your device. You are comfortable working with multiple production servers, databases, third party SDKs, and more.

  • You have strong communication skills. You are comfortable working with developers to determine best practices. You can speak game design with designers, speak art with artists, and can confidently prototype ideas and then make the transition to solid, production code.

The Impact You'll Make

  • Plan, develop, and test new systems that can be easily maintained and expanded.

  • Understand, maintain and improve complex systems already in use.

  • Diagnose and respond to technical issues in production and development environments.

  • Work with the internal design team to evaluate concepts for technical feasibility and be able to propose technical improvements.

  • Explain complex problems clearly, present potential solutions, and their advantages and disadvantages to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Conduct code reviews and manage source control.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar experience.

  • 5-7 years professional experience as a lead or senior developer in a successful game studio.

  • At least two mobile games shipped in a professional role as a senior or lead mobile game developer.

  • A deep knowledge of Unity for mobile F2P games development.

  • Knowledge of server side infrastructure common in mobile game development.

  • Ability to design abstract systems for code reusability.

Additional Strengths

  • Strong understanding of the Unity Canvas System and render pipeline.

  • Strong understanding of C# and PHP.

  • Experience with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

  • Experience with AWS infrastructure.
