Your ConsentJob SummaryReporting to the Director, Project Management (Supply Chain Transformation), the Senior PMO will be responsible for leading multiple cross-functional project teams in parallel through various supply chain transformation projects, such as, but not limited to, system solution transitions & enhancements, construction & infrastructure and business transformation.The incumbent will play a central role in initiating, planning, driving execution and presenting progress & risks to the executive project leadership team. The role will require exceptional project & stakeholder management skills and the ability to translate conceptual strategies into tactical action plans. Superior communication skills to effectively engage and promote collaboration among multi-function and/or cross-BU project teams is critical to the success of the PMO function.The Senior PMO will also need to foster and develop effective relationships across all many business segments & functions, such as Retail & Specialty Pharmacies, Distribution & National Operations, Business Developments & Sales, IT & Technology Solutions as well as other key stakeholders to identify, define, prioritize and execute Supply Chain Transformational initiatives.Section A – Specific ResponsibilitiesDuties and responsibilities generally include but are not limited to:Accountable for applying project management best practices & standards across the project team and throughout the project lifecycle.Responsible for developing & presenting project charters to initiate projects & obtain executive buy-in.Establishes project team & governance structure.Creates, updates and maintains a consolidated master project plans that allows management to have an overview of all current and upcoming activities as well as overall project status.Controls & manages all project workstreams, taking the initiative to identify conflicts within and across each project, plan for resources, dates and tasks to ensure achievement of key project milestones.Ensures each workstream plans are complete & accurate as well as identifies dependencies and links across project teams & workstreams.Support project financial management activities to track and forecast all project expenses, including capital as well as operational costs.Collaborate with project stakeholders to identify discrepancies, ensuring justification is duly documented and approved, as per change request policy & project management standards.Lead project team coordination activities & meetings.Responsible for preparing & distributing project documentation and ensuring project deliverables are recorded in central project repository.Responsible for undertaking any special tasks, preparing special reports requested by Executive & Departmental management team as they relate to ongoing projects and preparation of future projects.Performs other duties as assigned.Section B – Required abilities and knowledgeExperience in project portfolio management (multi project environment) in a matrix organization with ability to solicit cooperation and assist in planning and resource allocation conflicts.Dynamic person with a good sense of organization, excellent time management skills, and attention to detail.The person in this role will have to demonstrate a high level of autonomy and resourcefulness.Strong ability to analyze situations and solve problems that satisfy multiple perspectives internal to the organization.Exceptional communication skills in French/English, both written and verbal, that engage and inform the target audience. Refined presentation, facilitation, and ability to explain complex ideas clearly and concisely to many audiences within the organization to identify opportunities to create business value from supply chain.The candidate must possess strong interpersonal skills as well as effective facilitation, coaching and mentoring skills with demonstrated experience.Ability to develop reports, analyze metrics, and define tracking mechanisms.Ability to multi-task in a demanding environment. Capacity to work under pressure and on several files at the same time.Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with others, both internally and externally.Results driven with a concern for efficiency, while being meticulous and team oriented.Above average problem-solving and follow up skills.Rigorous, autonomous, shows initiative and ability to deal with high pressure situations.Strong computer and telecommunication skills including an excellent knowledge of: Outlook, Microsoft Office Suite and Database Management.Solid understanding of corporate structure and organizational reporting.Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability to changing business conditions.Section C – Education requirementsBachelor degree in Engineering, Commerce, Business Administration or related field or equivalent business experience.Solid understanding & experience in Supply Chain Management would be a strong asset.7+ years’ experience in a similar position.Project Management Professional certification or Six Sigma certification is preferred.Bilingual (written and oral).The incumbent of this position will provide daily support to internal and/or external clients outside Quebec and/or in the United States. Therefore, he/she must be proficient in spoken and written English.We are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson as part of our Total Rewards.
