Job Title: Junior Quality Assurance/Management Specialist

Contract Duration: 3 years with an option for 2 additional 1-year extensions

Location: 693 Barnes Road, Enfield, Nova Scotia

Security Clearance: Secret Clearance required

Overview: Our government client seeks a Junior Quality Assurance/Management Specialist to oversee the aircraft production line. The role involves ensuring the quality of products delivered to Canada meets acceptable standards.

Mandatory Qualifications

• Secondary school graduate diploma/certificate
• Minimum 8 years of quality management experience
• At least 5 years of recent experience in aerospace equipment program management (technical capacity)
• 5 years of experience in preparing production line surveillance plans and performing product inspections
• 5 years of experience in preparing configuration audit plans and conducting configuration audits
• 2 years of experience in developing Enhanced Zonal Assessment Procedure (EZAP) survey plans and performing EZAP surveys
  
  

Key Tasks: Develop and execute the aircraft production line surveillance plan for the CMLU (Canadian Maritime Helicopter Life Extension) aircraft production line:

• Act as a project liaison between Government Quality Assurance Representatives and the Prime Contractor’s Quality Management team
• Review the Prime Contractor’s Quality Management System (QMS) and Quality Plan
• Conduct quality assurance reviews of manufacturing process documentation and quality control procedures
• Assess the Prime Contractor’s approach to production line staging and sequencing
• Collaborate with internal DND stakeholders and Prime Contractor personnel to understand project risks and requirements.
