This role helps with the implementation and maintenance of workflow solutions and template packages for multiple practice groups. The analyst aids in trouble-shooting activities and assists with testing of the document automation system. This position supports the expansion of legal document automation and other practice support technologies to drive efficiency.ResponsibilitiesAssist in the adoption of document automation within practice groups.Support the evaluation and roll-out of legal innovation technologies.Attend meetings with practice groups to learn about requirements for the development of templates, interviews, and packages.Assist in building template packages and creating custom workflows under supervision.Help maintain communication with document automation providers.Assist in developing communication and training materials for the document automation system/processes.Provide first-level support and troubleshooting for the document automation system.Help monitor the use of document automation systems.Assist in supporting and troubleshooting issues involving other practice support technologies.Stay informed about legal technology trends and developments.Comply with department and firm administrative procedures and policies.Perform other work-related duties as assigned.ESSENTIAL CAPABILITIES:Must demonstrate the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.Able to interact effectively with all levels of personnel.Good oral and written communication skills.Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Detail-oriented with good analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong customer service orientation.Flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities.Willing to learn new skills and technologies.QualificationsBachelor's degree required.1-2 years of experience in a law firm or legal technology environment preferred.Basic knowledge of document automation platforms (e.g., Contract Express, DocAuto, Avvoka, HotDocs) is a plus.Familiarity with legal technologies and willingness to learn new systems.Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software quickly.Compensation and Total Rewards PackageRopes & Gray is proud to offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package to our business support team members. The anticipated pay range for this role is $78,000-$116,000 in Boston and $85,500-$128,000 in New York which represents our good faith and reasonable estimate of the starting salary range at the time of posting. In addition, this role is eligible for a discretionary bonus based on performance. The actual offered rate for this position will be determined based on job-related, non-discriminatory factors, including qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data and consideration of internal equity.Working ConditionsThis position requires hybrid on-site presence as an essential function of the role.
