Maintenance Engineer

Are you a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer based near to Corby who has previous experience in food manufacturing, FMCG or packaging?  This role is an opportunity to work with a global company who provide bakery ingredients along with their expertise and knowledge. As a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer with either an Electrical or Mechanical bias you will be responsible for breakdowns and PPM's of the production machinery on site working 6am-6pm Continental day shift pattern. You will take ownership of issues on site and work with the team to effectively solve the issue so that downtime is kept to a minimum. The role of a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer:  Day to Day maintenance of the site machinery. Carry out planned preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance and all associated system activity, monitor repair times and mean time between failure and find new methods / procedures to reduce these. Provide maintenance support to production to ensure efficient performance of all equipment. Ensure accurate and timely records are entered into the maintenance system relating to all work carried out, root causes and spare parts used. Adhere to all company SSOW and RA’s for maintenance tasks, completing Dynamic Risk Assessments in adhoc situations. Make food safety a priority while maintaining the machinery. Continuous Improvement activities as directed. Qualifications and Skills required for this Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer role: Recognised Engineering qualification, minimum of a level 3 City and Guilds. Multi-Skilled approach either Mechanical or Electrical Bias Experience of working with manufacturing machinery Background preferably in Food Manufacturing or FMCG. Fault finding on PLC's.
