Bookkeeper

Bookkeeper Reporting to: Financial Controller Salary Banding: £26,000 - £28,000 Stockport Working Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (Monday - Friday, 9am - 5.30pm). Additional hours may be required. Role Overview: A meticulous and experienced Xero Bookkeeper is needed to join a dynamic finance team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining financial records, ensuring accuracy in accounts payable and receivable, and supporting the financial health of a rapidly expanding business. Key Responsibilities: Maintain and update financial records using Xero accounting software. Process invoices, payments, and receipts accurately and promptly. Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow. Prepare and submit VAT returns. Assist with payroll processing. Generate financial reports and statements for management review. Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Requirements: Proven experience as a bookkeeper, with specific experience using Xero. Strong understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
