Manual Machinist required to join a well-established company based in the East Grinstead area, they are a leading provider of high-quality fabrications and components for various industries, including Medical and Science. With a commitment to precision, innovation, and customer satisfaction, we are seeking a skilled General Machinist to join our dynamic team. Manual Machinist Position Overview Set up and operate a variety of machine tools, including lathes, milling machines, Horizontal borers, and CNC machines, to produce precision components according to specifications. Perform routine and preventative maintenance on machines and tools to ensure optimal performance. Inspect and measure finished products using precision instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure they meet specifications. Select appropriate materials for each job, considering factors such as hardness, machinability, and application. dhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Manual Machinist Position Requirements Proven experience as a General Machinist in a fabrication or manufacturing environment. Proficiency in operating both manual and CNC machines is advantageous Strong understanding of machining processes, materials, and tools. Experience with precision measurement tools and techniques. Solid knowledge of safety standards and procedures in a machining environment. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
