Medical Oncologist BC Cancer – Victoria Locum – 6 months Victoria, BC, Canada BC Cancer is one of the world's renowned cancer organizations. This site offers a full range of services in Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Palliative Care, and support services such as Nutrition, Clinical Trials and Patient and Family Counseling. BC Cancer – Victoria also partners with a network of community centres such as Nanaimo, BC, so that patients can continue to receive systemic therapy in their local communities. We are looking for a medical oncologist to support a six-month locum. The successful candidate will be expected to be part of a collaborative care team committed to excellence, to participate in clinical, research, administrative and educational activities. What you bring Fellowship standing in the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada in Internal Medicine, along with a certificate of Special Competence in Medical Oncology. Eligibility for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia. (FRCP, FRCS or CCFP) Eligibility for appointment to medical staff of BC Cancer, and Royal Jubilee Hospital. Eligibility for appointment to the University of British Columbia. You must be eligible for a valid license to practice medicine in Canada to apply. Successful candidates will have: Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada as per TRC (2015) and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2019). Knowledge of social, economic, political and historical realities impacting indigenous communities and familiarity with Indigenous Cultural Safety and anti-racism and accompanying reports (BC DRIPA, TRC, etc.).
