Maplesoft Group is currently seeking a Sr. Financial Specialist consultant for our Federal Government client.

Tasks and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

1 Establishing the work plan activities aligned with the Business Line and Commissioner
priorities for the next 12-18 months;
2 Working with other DGs and Directors within the Branch to coordinate and deliver on key
files.
3 Providing management with written advice by working with the Directors on Financial
Strategies (including cost reduction), Estimates, Internal and External Reporting and TB
Submissions (cabinet documents);
4 Providing hands-on oversight and expert review of materials and related financial
governance and processes to ensure that documents for Senior Boards (such as Senior
Executive Committee, Management Committee, Investment Oversight and Prioritization
Committee, and others) are properly prepared and submitted to the CFO;
5 Providing direct support and expert advice to the CFO and staff in removing barriers that
impede file advancement or program delivery; and
6 Providing expert advice on core corporate functions such as financial management, resource
management and planning.
