Debt Collector Brackmills Monday-Friday 8:30-5pm £11.44 Temporary – Permanent (Start Monday 10th June) The Client Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Debt Collector to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for contacting individuals and businesses to collect outstanding debts. Success in this position requires excellent phone etiquette, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to analyse financial information effectively. This is a challenging yet rewarding position that requires attention to detail, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to work independently. Duties Initiate contact with individuals and businesses to collect overdue debts through phone calls, emails, and letters. Work with debtors to establish mutually agreeable payment plans and settlements, ensuring optimal recovery of outstanding amounts. Keep detailed records of all communications and payment arrangements, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Review and assess financial information to determine the best course of action for debt recovery. Use accounting software for data entry and to track debt collection activities, maintaining up-to-date and organised records. Adhere to all applicable laws and regulations governing debt collection practices, ensuring ethical and legal compliance. Provide excellent customer service while maintaining professionalism, even in challenging situations.  The candidate Strong Phone Etiquette Possess knowledge of financial services and accounts receivable processes. Ability to analyse financial information and make informed decisions regarding debt recovery strategies. Skilled in data entry and experienced with accounting software. Telemarketing/Sales Experience
