Workshop Engineer - Engines / Generators Location: Winchester £28,000 - £34,000 Depending on Experience Our Client is a leading generator and UPS company based in the south. They are the largest UK Honda official stockist and authorized dealers for Grupel, Pramac, CAT, AGG, and Aksa diesel generators. They take pride in delivering friendly, responsive, and highly technical service. Key Responsibilities: * The Workshop Engineer must Service and repair small petrol-driven generators and ancillary equipment, as well as larger diesel-powered generators equipped with Perkins, Cummins, and Volvo engines, among others. * The Workshop Engineer must Diagnose and troubleshoot machinery and control systems, either in our workshop or remotely, assisting both customers and our engineers. * Perform Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) and inspect generators before dispatching to customer sites. * The Workshop Engineer must Check returned machines for warranty claims. * Collaborate with the service team and workshop foreman to ensure smooth workshop operations. * The Workshop Engineer must Source and order parts for routine maintenance and repair of both current and obsolete engines and generators, as needed. * Occasionally visit customer sites to service and repair installed generators. Qualifications and Experience: * Previous experience with engine-driven equipment, ranging from small Honda engines to large diesel engines, is preferable. * While generator experience is not required, candidates with backgrounds in garden machinery, commercial vehicles, or similar engineering industries are encouraged to apply. * You should be comfortable communicating with customers both face-to-face and over the phone
