Electronics Engineer

Electronics Engineer, £55k, Portsmouth, Hybrid. My client is part of a leading Aerospace & Defence group with this opportunity being based in Portsmouth. They are looking for an Electronics Engineer who will be responsible for the electronic aspects of torpedo design, repair, and maintenance. The role will provide you with the opportunity to join various complex development projects. You will see various stages of the lifecycle and contribute through these phases. Knowledge & Experience: Design and development of electronic assemblies, from specification through to release into service Maintenance of existing designs and implementation of technology insertion programmes Ability to support off site trials activities Support the testing of high voltage alternators using bespoke test equipment Translation of requirements into design detail Component selection, schematic capture, and support to PCB layout Specification of bespoke procured items Interfacing with related disciplines including mechanical/thermal engineering, ILS, Safety, and Production Able to follow the engineering lifecycle and undertake progress, peer and design reviews Experience of generating component level designs for introduction into volume production using computer-aided engineering Experience of analogue to digital and digital to analogue conversion Integration, design proving and defect resolutionAs an Electronics Engineer working for this client, you will be earning a basic salary of up to £55,000 and will be entitled to a range of company benefits.
