Senior Architectural Technologist/Designer

Your new companyOur client’s is a notable real estate developer based in Burlington. Their portfolio covers multi-family residential, mixed-use and hospitality projects. They are currently looking for a Senior Architectural Technologist/Designer with at least 10 years of experience to join their team. This role requires you to work in office in Burlington 3-4 days per week. Your new roleOur client is seeking a full-time well-rounded Senior Architectural Technologist/Designer to join their team to work on a varied pipeline of projects including multi-family mid-rise/high-rise, commercial, single-family homes and hospitality projects. Working closely with the President and other internal design/development team members, the successful candidate will be a highly self-motivated individual who is able to work independently. This role requires excellent attention to detail and time management skills to oversee projects from conceptual design through to construction/closeout. You will develop site plans and building drawings and liaise with municipal planning/building departments for application processes, as well as coordinate drawings with consultants, including civil, architects, and engineers (mechanical, electrical, structural), and contractors. As this role will require some project management oversite, it is important you are comfortable conducting site reviews and contract administration. What you'll need to succeedAs a Senior Technologist/Designer, you will need to have an educational background in architecture with 10+ years of relevant professional experience, and at least 5 years of local experience with OBC. Project experience can be varied but with preferably some multi-family residential and commercial exposure. Proficiency in Revit is a requirement. You will need to demonstrate a thorough knowledge of architectural design, building codes, construction and costs, as well as strong technical understanding of building envelope. The ability to work independently on multiple projects at a time is a must, as well as proven experience overseeing project management from conceptual design through to site review & contract administration. What you'll get in returnThe compensation package is commensurate with experience but includes a competitive salary, between $110k-$130k + discretionary bonus, 3 weeks' of vacation + additional personal days, extended health and dental benefits, RRSP, cell phone coverage, and a hybrid work schedule.
