Position Summary
We are looking for an inspirational Project Manager to join the Project Management Office (PMO) with strong leadership and organizational capabilities that can immediately contribute and help us tackle the opportunities and challenges that arise from our rapidly growing business. The incumbent will lead and will be responsible for various Business Initiatives and Information Technology projects in the organization as well as help manage the relationships between Technology, Business leaders and our external business partners.
Responsibilities:
Strategize, orchestrate, and oversee the execution of both technical and non-technical business initiatives in alignment with organizational objectives.
Spearhead transformative endeavors such as Dynamics 365 upgrades, Customer Information System (CIS) enhancements, Meter Data Management (MDM) implementations, market expansions, and other pivotal long-term projects.
Collaborate closely with hybrid Agile/Waterfall teams and the broader organization, providing support to the team and Scrum Master across both traditional waterfall projects and sprint activities.
Ensure the streamlined operation of crucial project management facets, encompassing planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk assessment, project charters, execution plans, risk management strategies, and risk registers.
Assist analysts, specialists, and external partners to guarantee the on-time and within-budget delivery of all projects under the PMO's purview, maintaining standards of scope, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
Serve as a liaison between various stakeholders and IT infrastructure, capturing requirements, overseeing project management, offering transparency into tasks, and furnishing detailed insights into project requirements.
Identify and clarify the roles and responsibilities of project team members, fostering a clear understanding of their contributions.
Contribute to the standardization of organizational processes to enhance efficiency in project and initiative intake procedures.
Monitor project performance meticulously, evaluating the attainment of short and long-term objectives.
Develop and present progress reports, presentations, and business cases to diverse stakeholders, including C-Suite executives and the Board of Directors.
Play a pivotal role in shaping the IT roadmap and investment strategy, serving as a key contributor to the evolution of technology initiatives.
Qualifications:
Project Management Professional (PMP) designation considered an asset.
Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated successful project management experience (in Utilities industry an asset).
Must have experience with Azure DevOps.
University Degree from a recognized institution or equivalent formal educational program and relevant IT technical and project management experience.
Proven successful CIS implementation experience in Utilities or similar industry an asset.
Working knowledge of Agile delivery, ceremonies and practices considered an asset.
Proven program management on large projects with external system integrators.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically MS Excel and MS Project.
Working in an Oracle Utilities Software environment an asset.
Proven experience managing large enterprise-wide transformational projects.
Extensive knowledge of project management standards, processes, procedures, and guidelines.
Demonstrated skill in managing project budgets and timelines.
Excellent analysis, problem-solving, team, conflict management and time management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated experience managing or delivering IT Projects within outsourced and managed services environments.
