Under the supervision of the Plant Manager, the Packaging and Finished Products Manager manages all activities related to the packaging and finished products sector, while promoting the organization's values with a view to achieving organizational objectives and maximizing the use of resources, while ensuring the health and safety of workers. The incumbent maintains all production equipment so that it performs efficiently and is available for use. The Manager must manage costs in accordance with the budget.We are looking for someone who will:Ensure the physical integrity of employees (PPE, tools in order, work permits and lockout).Ensure the application of occupational health and safety standards, in order to protect the physical integrity of personnel.Manage the collective agreement and participate in various joint labor relations and health and safety committees, as well as in collective agreement negotiations.Maintain smooth operations and equipment reliability, intervene in the event of equipment breakdowns, describe the problem, carry out an exhaustive analysis and ensure that the problem is resolved.Contribute innovative ideas to improve existing systems.Actively participate in the achievement of performance indicators, produce various operating reports and draw up budgets for the packaging department.Evaluate the various jobs to be carried out, carry out planning (materials required, priorities, task register, calls for tenders, safety standards), while respecting budgets.Ensure that internal and external audits and customer visits run smoothly.Plan staff training, if necessary.What you'll need to join the team:College or university training in operations management or related fields.Minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of relevant experience in manufacturing operations/food production management.Good decision-making, communication and organizational skills, while demonstrating strategic, flexible and analytical thinking.Leadership, coaching skills and ability to mobilize in line with the organization's vision.Experience in managing people in a unionized environment.Ability to manage change and solve problems.Bilingualism (spoken and written) to be able to communicate with our English and French sites.
