HGV Class 1 Driver

We are looking for experienced class 1 drivers for our new client in Pontefract. The job will mainly be delivering to stores and distribution centres but will also include general haulage. As an HGV class 1 driver we are looking for people that have an up to date clean licence, hold CPC and digital tachograph cards, enjoy dealing with people on a daily basis, have excellent customer service skills and understand the importance of health and safety within an organisation. Responsibilities include: - * Maintaining security of load when loading, transporting and delivering freight. * Carry out daily checks on vehicle and ancillary equipment. * Comply with legislation regarding vehicle safety, tachographs operation and working time. * Relay appropriate customer queries to depot staff as required. * Act as an ambassador for the company, providing high standard of customer care and being polite at all times. * Accurately complete all relevant paperwork. A minimum of one years experience driving HGV C1 is essential. A good knowledge of the UK road network is a must. Holiday pay will also be provided. The job will be starting in the next 7 to 14 days
