About Our Client:
They operate as both a Design & Build Contractor and Main Contractor. They are a smaller business who often work under Tier 1 Principle Contractors. Projects vary from general build, residential and internal/externals refurbishment through to restoration works. The company operate from a South Essex based office but projects can be national due to the types of clients the business have. Even in tough times, they are growing and can offer a lot for those looking to join the business.
The Role:
An established Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor is required to manage the financial aspects of a key project within the business. The office is based in South Essex but you must be willing to travel and stay away at the project at least 1 night per week (expenses paid). This project requires key focus so cannot be done from a distance. Most projects are sub £5m, often being new build social housing. You will need to have relevant qualifications, such as a Quantity Surveying degree or a Masters. This role will allow you the opportunity to grow and take ownership of projects, all whilst developing and progressing. This will be an office based role with site visits.
The Applicant:
The ideal candidate must have:
- Experience working as an established Quantity Surveyor or SQS for a Main Contractor
- The ability to lead a project sub £5m from start to finish from a commercial aspect.
- Further related education, a Quantity Surveying degree or Masters or similar.
- The right to work in the UK without a visa
- The ability to travel and stay away at least 1 night per week.
It is desirable to have:
- Worked on new build residential projects for a Main Contractor.
