We are on the lookout for Support Workers who are calm, patient, and resilient. You will preferably be able to drive and have a consistent approach to assisting the people we support to engage in the interests they love. Furthermore, as Support Worker you will be responsible for:  Daily activities such as personal care; laundry; meal preparation; medication and administration. Getting to know the people you will care for and help them to live the life they want to live. Taking personal responsibility for the quality of care and assistance delivered to the people you will care for Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the people you will take care of Helping the people you will assist plan towards and achieve both short and long term aims.  Planning and be in favour of activities, such as vacations, learning and social engagements always being creative and exploring new opportunities  Assisting the people, you will assist to manage their personal affairs making, preparing for, and attending any appointments. Ensuring the people, you will assist and their families, are treated with respect, dignity, and equality. You will be able to work 37.5hrs per week on a shift rota basis, covering early shifts, late shifts and weekend shifts.   Who will you be supporting?   At The Willows the people we support have varying levels of learning disabilities and visual impairment. We provide support for additional needs, including wheelchair users from various physical disabilities, diabetes, heart issues, mental health problems, dual sensory loss, kidney disease and management of cancer.
