ENGINEER IN IMMUNOLOGY AND CELL BIOLOGY (M/F) 06/30/2024 Paris The Curie Institute Research CenterThe “Institut Curie” is a major player in the research and fight against cancer. It consists of a hospital and a Research Center of more than 1000 employees with a strong international representativeness.The objective of the Curie Institute Research Center is to develop basic research and to use the knowledge produced to improve the diagnosis, prognosis, and therapeutics of cancers as part of the continuum between basic research and innovation serving the patient. LaboratoryInstitut Curie is one of the largest European institutions for cancer and biomedical research with strong interdisciplinary traditions. It is in the center of Paris in France, in a both cultural and scientific rich environment. The site has active seminar program and hosts regular training sessions in molecular and cellular biology. The project will be developed in Center of Cancer Immunotherapy headed by Ana Maria Lennon and the Clinic Immunology Laboratory. The Immunology Department includes 10 independent research teams in the fields of basic and applied immunology, working in a very collaborative and international environment. Candidate will work under the supervision of Dr. Olivier Lantz. The aim of the team is to characterize the biology of T cells, their interaction with other cells of the immune system, and their role in cancer, in both humans and through mice models. The open position is in line with recent developments at the interface between Immunology and Cancer. More information: www.curie.fr and https://curie.fr/unite/u932 .MissionsThe research group of Dr. Olivier Lantz (Inserm U932, Paris, France) is seeking an immunology and cell biology engineer. The candidate will be dedicated on one side to study T cell response in the frame of translational research projects and clinical research in Lung cancer. Anti-tumoral responses induced by anti PD1 treatment in neoadjuvant setting in NSCLC will be studied in the Lymph nodes and blood of the patients undergoing thoracic surgery.
