The below job description will outline this position of: Senior Propulsion Field Engineer/ Propulsion Field Service Engineer/Propulsion Service Technician Typically, this person be responsible for performing and leading maintenance and repairs on main propulsion systems, thrusters, and steering gear, as well as troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic systems. They will dismantle, inspect, rebuild, and test propulsion systems and gearboxes, conducting precise measurements on components. Additionally, the candidate will complete technical reports for clients, interpret engineering drawings, prepare accurate spare parts lists. Willing to travel around the UK, and Overseas when required. HSB Technical’s client is a very established and well-regarded business entity. Duties and responsibilities of the Senior Propulsion Field Engineer/ Propulsion Field Service Engineer/Propulsion Service Technician: * Perform and Lead maintenance and repairs on main propulsion, thrusters and steering gear. * Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems, interpret schematic diagrams and understand spiral bevel gears and bearing arrangements. * Dismantle, inspect, rebuild, and test propulsion systems and gearboxes and conduct precise measurements on gearbox components. * Complete technical reports for clients, read and interpret engineering drawings, and prepare accurate spare parts lists. * Work in challenging environments and maintaining composure under pressure. * Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety laws and guidelines relevant to the role. Qualifications and requirement for the Senior Propulsion Field Engineer/ Propulsion Field Service Engineer/Propulsion Service Technician: * Experience on Propulsion Systems, Fixed pitch, controllable pitch propellers and engineering processes * Basic Controls Experience - Desirable * Mechanical Diploma or Level 3 Engineering Qualification. * UK Driving License. * Willing to travel around the UK, and Overseas when required.
