Teacher of Design Technology Sheffield September 2024 - Ongoing Salary - £153.85 - £211.96 per day Full time Empowering Learning are a market leading education recruitment company. We are working in partnership with a large Secondary Academy based in North Sheffield who are looking to appoint an 2 Design and Technology Teachers on a full time, long term basis from September. As there are two positions within the department, all specialisms will be considered and appreciated by the school at this point. We are seeking two outstanding candidates who are resilient, have strong behaviour management skills, and adept and experienced in teaching Design Technology to Key Stage 3 and 4. Planning and marking responsibilities would be required with PPA time given within your timetable. The job The school is looking for someone who is passionate about Design Technology to provide the very best opportunity for students across the school. In this exciting role, you will contribute to the strategic direction of your subject development across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. In addition, you will provide expertise in delivering exceptional, engaging, and ambitious lessons which will enable students a positive learning experience. To provide outstanding teaching for learning which meets the needs of all students. To support the school raising standards of teaching and learning across the department and in monitoring progress towards agreed aims. To support the school in the implementation of agreed whole school policies and initiatives. To plan and facilitate professional learning workshops as requested.The successful candidate will Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Have outstanding teaching practice. Have excellent behaviour management. Have experience of lesson observations and giving robust feedback. Have experience of improvement planning. Have experience of implementing a range of strategies to raise student achievement, with evidence of success. Contribution to impact on the quality of learning and teaching and curriculum.
