About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Ancillary Services Analyst to join our Trading and Optimisation team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing fundamental Ancillary Services analysis, assumptions, forecasts, and analytical activities with a focus on current and emerging Ancillary Services markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide robust fundamental analysis and engage in trading strategies to support daily trading decisions
  • Develop and maintain models, review past analysis, and own pricing tools and trading-decision models
  • Provide market and competitor intelligence to identify areas to add value

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need a degree-level education in a numerate subject, such as science, maths, economics, or engineering. You will also require working knowledge of UK power markets and experience with statistical and fundamental modelling using IT techniques such as SQL, Python, Excel, and Business Intelligence tools.
