We are seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Mazatrol programming and a strong understanding of milling processes. Salary, Shift Allowance, and Overtime Benefits: Starting salary from £20.50 per hour, inclusive of shift allowance  Monday to Friday - 2 shifts  Shift working attracts a one-third premium in addition to the basic hourly rate Applicants must be open to working various shift patterns, alternating between day and afternoon shifts. Applicants must also be willing to operate a third shift, involving night shifts on a temporary or permanent basis, depending on business demands. Working night shifts would attract a higher shift premium rate, which will be discussed at the point of shift change. Overtime is paid at time and a half, and Sunday overtime is paid at double time Duties Include: Planning the most efficient sequence of operations for the job Selecting appropriate cutting tools for each cut Selecting the right cutting speeds Setting tolerances Positioning the section for each cut Converting instructions into a numerically based program for the computer to follow Checking that work meets quality and technical guidelines Routine maintenance of machine tools Programming Role Requirements: Understanding of engineering drawings and instructions Experience in using Mazatrol programming is essential Ability to visualize finished products Understanding of the properties of the materials you work with Examine raw material for dimensions, quantity, defects, and required heat lot/certification numbers Inspect finished work to verify dimensions and meet specifications Ensure that safe work practices are followed and adhered to Skill Requirements: Experience and knowledge of milling Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, geometry, and algebra for calculating material fabrication Experience of CNC work or CNC qualification from a college or technical school Experience using Mazak machines Live tooling experience is advantageous Understanding of engineering drawings and instructions Knowledge in the use of precision measuring instruments and their application Programming experience is required Personal Requirements: Ability to work alone Good practical skills Ability to work precisely Good concentration levels Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands, and able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events Our Benefits: Wellbeing and mental health funded support Company closure between Christmas and New Year Friendly, family-led culture Career progression and funded development opportunities Additional holidays for long service Pension with Life Assurance plan Annual salary reviews Company events Charity fundraising events Privately funded counselling Company sick pay Free, secure car park for staff only with free usage of electric charging points Access to free machined beverages Cycle to work scheme If you meet the above requirements and are looking to join a supportive and dynamic team, we would love to hear from you.
