Human by nature.Research Associate - Your future position?As a Research Associate, based in Argenteuil, you will independently perform research activities and document results in order to develop improved and new products and solutions within your own area, according to the company's business objectives and corporate strategy.Your core responsibilities will include:Research activities:Execute scientific/technical projects within Project Management System, deliver and document resultsIndependently conceive and propose research studies, in alignment with needs of the projectsAutonomously design and launch experimental studies and projects using modern tools and approaches (Design of Experiments, Bayesian Optimisation, etc.)Maintain a clean, safe and orderly laboratory environment in accordance with EHS guidelinesBe alert to and highlight opportunities to develop IP and protect inventionsScientific support:Develop and maintain scientific excellence in your fieldInteract with suppliersSupervise and mentor other lab members as appropriateEffectively contribute to development of research methods and technical planningFollow scientific advancement in the fieldYou?Your professional profile includes:Master's degree in a relevant field5+ years of experience in the industryExpertise in some of the relevant areas such as: Design, synthesis/functionalization & characterisation of (bio)macromolecules; Sustainable materials; Emulsions, Microencapsulation; Analytical characterization methods;Experience in chemical modification and/or processing; experience in natural macromoleculesPhysical Chemistry of Liquid Interfaces, Emulsions, ColloidsFirst experience in R&D project managementUnderstanding of regulatory challenges in this fieldCurious and open to exploring novel methodologiesProven track record of new product development or contribution to new product developmentExperience in project management tools is preferredInternational experience is advantageousAbility to learn on the flyStrong drive for business supportVerbal and written command of English and FrenchAt Givaudan, you contribute to delightful taste and scent experiences that touch people’s lives.
