Finance Assistant | Lewisham | £18 - £20 per hour Are you an experienced school Finance officer looking for a new opportunity to start September? We are seeking enthusiastic and experienced finance professionals with proven financial and administrative experience for Finance Assistant positions within schools in Lewisham. The role of Finance Assistant will play a fundamental role in assisting senior school leadership i.e. School Business Manager's or Finance Managers, in the efficient management of all school finance operations. School Finance Assistant duties include: Budget monitoring FMS BACS payments Purchase Ledger Financial reporting Credit card management Reconciliations Fundraising Financial system/data management Supplier management Expenses Financial policy and procedures PO and InvoicingSchool Finance Assistant Requirements: Proven track record in finance and administration Genuine interest in finance within education or public sector High level IT competence Strong knowledge of financial procedures Educated to Degree Level 2:1 or above Experience working in schools Knowledge of financial/accounting systems i.e. Xero, Sage, FMS etc.School Finance Assistant Desirables: Completed/Part Qualified finance qualification i.e. ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CIPFA, ICAEW, ICAS, AATSchool Finance Assistant Role: Salary: £18 - £20 per hour (Dependant on Experience) Long term Temp / Permanent positions To start ASAP or September (candidates with notice period will also be considered)The successful Finance Assistant will be a collaborative problem solver excited by the opportunity to work alongside chartered accountants in school financial planning!
