Education:

1. Bachelor's degree

Experience:

1. 3 years to less than 5 years

Tasks:

1. Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs
2. Prepare pre-qualification submissions to present clients
3. Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements
4. Operate CADD and other computer software systems
5. Prepare estimates for general expenses and overheads
6. Provide economic feasibility studies and preliminary estimates for proposed projects
7. Project cash flow and financing requirements
8. Create and submit estimate reports, quote sheets and bids forms
9. Advise on tendering procedures
10. Analyze tenders and recommend awards
11. Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems
12. Monitor and adjust contract expenditures
13. Prepare and maintain directory of supplies and trade contractors
14. Maintain internal record-keeping system
15. Ensure compliance to drawings, specifications and building codes
16. Advise senior management
17. Conduct site visits to gather relevant information
