AFR Application Engineer

At Corning, our commitment to innovation led to the invention of the Advanced-Flow Reactor (AFR), a continuous chemical reactor used in the pharmaceutical, agrochemical, and fine chemicals industries. The AFR activity is looking for a person with a strong interest in chemistry and chemical engineering to support our clients as an Application Engineer. You will be the key contact for our customers from the R&D phase to industrial scale-up. Your mission will be: Understand the customer's process, consult them in the selection of equipment and lead the transfer of technology from batch to continuous. Manage the start-up of our equipment for our customers (commissioning, training, test monitoring, data analysis, equipment process, optimization proposal) Lead the development of our continuous flow processes by promoting, managing, and developing Corning's applications laboratories Collaborate with AFR engineering, sales, and marketing teams. We are looking for candidates with Master degree or a PhD in organic chemistry, supplemented by experience as a Research Engineer or Application Engineer. Skills: Strong skills in organic chemistry Knowledge of automation/process control is a plus Practical technical problem-solving skills Fluent English/French Fluency in another language would be a plus Know-how: Passionate about science/technology Relational skills (communication, listening) Ability to work in an international context Autonomy and proactivity in changing environments Analytical skills when dealing with customer issues Adaptation, integration, and teamwork skills Travel of up to 30% #J-18808-Ljbffr
