Finance Business Partner

About the role

As a Finance Business Partner, you will serve as a vital link between the Finance Branch and designated business units across DCITHS. Your role involves building and maintaining strong relationships to support financial strategy, compliance, and operational improvement. Collaborating closely with Senior Finance Business Partners and the Reporting and Insights teams, you will provide strategic advice, identify emerging issues, and drive financial performance. You will also ensure adherence to statutory requirements, policies, and best practices while proactively recommending and implementing solutions to optimise fiscal outcomes and address challenges.

About You

You are a seasoned finance professional with a strong track record in influencing and guiding teams through complex financial environments. You possess in-depth knowledge of the NSW Public Sector, including its financial management policies, processes, and regulatory requirements. You excel in rapidly assessing and addressing emerging issues, providing strategic advice that can significantly impact decision-making. You are adept at mentoring and supporting teams in dynamic environments with shifting priorities while ensuring compliance with statutory obligations and best practice standards. You possess tertiary qualifications in accountancy, economics, commerce, or finance.
