Stores and Supply Chain Assistant

My client is a leading railway contractor based in Croydon. An opportunity has arisen for a Stores and Supply Chain Assistant to join the existing team. The purpose of the role is to support the project team and business in day-to-day procurement and Stores activities dealing with raising of purchase orders, expediting of purchase orders and resolving arising queries and to support the warehouse when required with bookings and logistical requirements. Main duties will include but are not limited to; • Report into the Strategic project lead and provide required support for the project • Support the Warehouse Supervisor • Support procurement project team dealing with raising of Purchase orders and expediting. • Resolve invoice disputes in relation to purchase orders and goods. • Receipting deliveries to site and reporting / handling discrepancies • Monitor, maintain and adjust stocks • Managing goods returns to suppliers • Maintain records of incoming orders, tools and plant • Ensure warehouse areas complies with company HSE policies • Control allocation of plant and tools to the project • Loading site vehicles with materials, plant and tooling • Management of returns from site, including waste materials and unused stock items This permanent vacancy is being advertised on behalf of Coleman-James Limited who are operating as an Employment Agency
