Technical Lead, Software Development

We are currently looking for a full-time Technical Lead with skills in the development, deployment and monitoring of highly available, highly robust services.This role is based in the Wenco Headquarters, Richmond, BC.Key Deliverables and Responsibilities:Software DevelopmentLead a cross-functional, agile development team with Product, QA, and other technical stakeholdersDesign and implement robust, reliable and resilient software solutions using a cloud native approachLead the assessment, analysis, planning and design of software release packagesContribute to the investigation and resolution of customer issuesTechnical LeadershipTake technical responsibility across all stages of the software development processPromote a culture of quality, continuous improvement, and technical excellence within the development teamMentor the team on cloud native development practicesDrive key technical initiatives such as continuous integration and the repayment of technical debtCollaborate with development teams from across the organizationParticipate actively in communities of practice and knowledge sharingQualifications & SkillsA minimum of 8 years work experience as a software developer with at least two years in a technical leadership roleExperience across the entire development lifecycle including design, development, unit and automated testing, deployment, and monitoringExperience developing cross-platform applications in C# and/or C++Experience with containerization and orchestration management tools such as KubernetesExperience working on Kanban and/or Scrum teamsNice to HaveExperience delivering products onto cloud platforms such as AWS or AzureFamiliarity with Infrastructure as Code concepts and toolsKnowledge of behavior-driven developmentExperience and/or knowledge of mining or related industriesExperience with Python developmentBachelor Degree in Computer Science/Systems/Electronics/Software Engineering or equivalentMust be eligible to work in CanadaThis role may require some international travel (
