Simulation Engineer - Mid-Senior Level Simulation Engineer | Vehicles | £55-65K | Hybrid | Bedford Langham Recruitment is recruiting exclusively for a rapidly growing high-tech start-up, a collaboration between a system integrator and two major international automotive OEMs. An exciting new requirement has arisen for a Simulation Engineer to be instrumental in building a brand-new lab and developing the software for high-spec simulated driving rigs. This is a unique opportunity for someone with vehicle simulation experience to spearhead a project with substantial international funding. Key Requirements: Implement control algorithms supplied by Tier 1 suppliers into simulation environments Develop high-fidelity simulation models (vehicle and actuators) using tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, IPG CarMaker, and others Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders Analyse simulation data to identify performance issues, optimisation opportunities, and potential improvements in control strategies Integrate physical components into simulation environments for Software-in-the-loop (SiL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) testing when necessarySkills & Experience Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in developing and testing vehicle dynamics and chassis control systems and their integration (Brake, Steering, suspension and Powertrain) Proven track record of working with simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, IPG CarMaker, or similar. Experience with vehicle network simulation and analysis tools such as CANoe, Experience with real-time simulation, model-based design, and control system development.For more information please apply today!
