If that sounds like an organization you want to be a part of, we would love to have you.ROLE OVERVIEW and PURPOSEThe Dentist works to support the mission and vision of Neighborhood Healthcare (NHC) by providing dental services to patients. This role will perform dental procedures and services to patients based on initial dental assessment and plans. In addition, this role will impart health education information and techniques to patients.RESPONSIBILITIESDevelops and implements individualized dental care plans for patientsAssesses dental needs and refers patients to dental specialists or medical providers as needed, using medical staff protocols for referral, follow-up, and quality assuranceProvides comprehensive dental care, services, and preventive health education/techniques to patients in compliance with standard proceduresPerforms dental procedures and services that are within the approved skills profile and/or scope of practiceObserves, assesses, and records patients’ symptoms, reactions, and treatment progressPrescribes medications and provides patients with pertinent medication instructions, as neededTeam SupportWorks with dental team to facilitate prescription refills and paperwork completionProvides dental backup to NHC dental sites and clinicians, as needed and availableProvides supervision, consultations, and instructions to Dental Assistants and other health care delivery team members in NHC dental sites, as neededServes as preceptor to dental and paraprofessional students placed with NHCClinical AdministrationAccepts additional patients into the schedule, as neededAccommodates patients with urgent dental needs, including walk-insMinimizes rescheduling of patients; provides instructions if necessaryCompletes and submits daily billing to reflect accurate coding and charges of all services renderedWorks with management on improving efficiency, patient flow, program development, and revenuesMaintains necessary credentialing, licensure, and continuing education requirementsAssists management with employee evaluations for the Dental PSRs or Dental Assistants, as neededParticipates in audits, peer reviews, patient satisfaction, protocol developments, meetings, and in-service trainingsContributes to the success of NHC by participating in quality improvement activitiesCompletes legible and legally defensible dental recordsEDUCATION/EXPERIENCEDoctorate degree in Dental Medicine (DMD) or Dental Surgery (DDS) requiredValid DEA license and current CPR/AED certification requiredPay range: $158k-210k per year depending on experience. #J-18808-Ljbffr
