Job Opportunity: Field Service Engineer Location: Bearley Job Category: PDI Plant Equipment Workshop Job Type: Full Time A leading company in the construction and recycling machinery industry is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in heavy plant and construction equipment maintenance and repair. Main Responsibilities: Electrical and Electronic Work: Perform electrical and electronic installations, diagnostic testing, and repairs on construction plant equipment. Mechanical and Hydraulic Work: Undertake mechanical and hydraulic installations, diagnostic testing, and repairs on construction plant equipment. Product familiarization training will be provided if needed. Delivery Condition Reports: Complete delivery condition report check sheets for all new machine deliveries to site, including damage and fault reporting. Data Capture and Reporting: Capture and record relevant machine and component information required by both the company and the manufacturer. Machine Preparation: Prepare new machines for delivery to customers, including installing additional electronic, hydraulic, and mechanical accessories as required. Complete all necessary paperwork and transport documents to meet company policy and statutory requirements. What We Are Looking For: Technical Skills: Proven understanding of modern diesel engine fuel systems. Must have own comprehensive tool kit. (Specialist tooling will be provided). Electrical training and competency certification are essential. Understanding of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic schematics is essential. Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills with all stakeholders, including customers. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Punctuality and a well-presented appearance, ensuring company uniform is worn and maintained. Safety and Compliance: Adherence to relevant PPE requirements and company health and safety rules and procedures at all times. Education Requirements: Good general education, including proficiency in English and Maths. Good level of computer competence. NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plant/Construction is desirable. Additional Details: Must hold a full UK driving license. Manufacturers training will be provided. Must be willing to travel outside of the UK for manufacturers training courses. Full in-house system training will be provided. Tool allowance of £40.00 per month. VW Crafter Van with racking and specialist tooling provided. Company mobile phone.
