This role is an exciting opportunity for a candidate that is eager to learn, is able work both with a team and independently, is looking to grow within the company, and has a strong attention to detail. In this position, the candidate will play a vital role in the finance team by contributing to month-end closing of various international entities as well as financial analysis, among other tasks, in both a growing and fast-paced environment.How you’ll make an impactAssist with the month-end closing process, including but not limited to recording accrual, prepaid and amortization entries, maintaining and reconciling fixed asset and prepaid schedules and preparing internal financial statements.Assist with monthly variance analysis.Assist with the year-end audit, as needed.Assist with monthly VAT/GST requirements for multiple foreign jurisdiction.Other duties as assigned by the controller and the assistant controller.What do you need to perform in this jobBachelor’s Degree in Accounting.Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience.Planning to or pursuing a CPA designation is an asset.Good knowledge of Excel.Experience with Netsuite is an asset.Ability to work both in a team and independently with limited oversight.Ability to communicate effectively and think critically including analytical skills.Detail oriented, eager to learn and time management skills.Experience with financial statements and recording journal entries.Fluent in English (Spoken and Written).What we’ll bring to the table/What’s in it for you:An opportunity to grow with a dynamic company with personal and professional growth.Small collaborative teams where you can impact both product and culture.Work for a growing company located in the thriving tech hub of Montreal.A great benefit package and a team that focuses on your well-being.What we offer:Competitive compensation packages, health and wellness benefits including:Annual wellness allowance.Learning and development platform.RRSP matching.Flexible Fridays.3 personal days.Additional Work from home perks.Our cultureOur core values reflect the essence of who we are and how we work towards a common goal.
