EssilorLuxottica R&D Smarteyewear Lens ambition is to be at the leading edge of the technologies for Augmented Reality Eyewear and related solutions, Active lens like electrochromic or efocus. In coordination with the innovation manager or program managers, the candidate will: Identify existing tools or develop new methodology for the characterization of smart optical components (mainly in the ARE field). Build optical setup and validate the concept. Coordinate supplier activities to build equipment (when required). Qualify the metrological performance of the tool/equipment. Perform measurements campaign for characterization of components or subsystems. The candidate will also work in close collaboration with teams based in Dijon (around 3 days per month shall be spent in Dijon). CANDIDATE PROFILE Master degree in Optical Engineering – System Design and Simulation. At least 3 years of experience in optical design in optronics system, from specifications, preliminary design, mock-up or prototype development, to product launch. Good knowledge about image quality characterization & photometry, camera & optical sensors. Experience with Optical Simulation Software – Zemax. Ideally some knowledge of image processing software (Matlab/Scilab, ImageJ, Solidworks/CAO software, metrology methodology (Gage R&R). Strong sense and interest in tangible things.
