Position # : 156616 Expected Start Date: Union: HSAS Facility: Meadow Lake Hospital City/Town: Meadow Lake Department: Ambulance - Land Type: Part-time regular FTE: 0.67 Shift Information: Standby Hours of Work: 56 shifts of 8 hours per 16 weeks Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: No Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Emergency Medical Technician $29.909 to $36.572 Travel Required: No Job Description: Emergency Medical Technicians are responsible for providing emergent and non-emergent Basic Life Support (BLS) services to the sick and injured, and for continuing to provide BLS medical services until responsibility for patient care can be assumed by hospital authorities or a Paramedic. Human Resources Exemption: No Licenses Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS) Valid Class 4 driver's license Other Education and Training Pre-Hospital Care Program - Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) Level Competencies Advanced - Communication skills Advanced - Interpersonal skills Knowledge and Abilities Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team Ability to work independently Other Information Shifts are 24 hour periods, 8 hour shifts with 16 hours of standby.
