CAD Manager Power Networks, Transmission & Distribution Home based £55,000 to £65,000 + Car + Benefits Job Ref: J(phone number removed) We need a CAD specialist to take the lead role in developing and maintaining policy, processes and training manuals for all substation CAD outputs and leading the team We are seeking someone who has Autodesk and Revit in the substation space, and needs to have good substations knowledge The work is for the transmisson owners and the people working for them in Principle Contractor or Consultant capacity. The work is in a Building Information Modeling (BIM) environment and is a process involving the generation and management of digital representations of the physical and functional characteristics of buildings and other physical assets. You will be an expert in this. You will: To develop and train others in the delivery of substation CAD deliverables. To provide technical 2D and 3D CAD drawing services to the business. This will include but not limited to Substation steelwork detailing, maps, profile drawings. Liaise with CAD Technicians and detailers to aid and provide effective drawing solutions. Continually assess and review contract programme within design and innovation teams. Liaise with clients to provide input and scope for new standards/codes of practice.
