Worker Type: EmployeeGroup: Decommissioning DepartmentJob Post End Date: 08/31/2024About this opportunity:The Junior Asset Retirement Decommissioning Engineer role is responsible to work with Cenovus partners (Operations, Business Unit, and other ARO disciplines) to create capital efficient pipeline and facility abandonment programs across Western Canada assets. This role is also responsible for decommissioning project creation in Generwell, AFE creation, GIS Project Mapping, progress and cost tracking with Site View and Spotfire, coordination with other ARO work groups and scheduling and planning programs/projects. This is an entry level position.What you’ll do:Collaborate with Operations, Business Unit and Front Line Supervisors to develop capital efficient decommissioning plans that meet safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.Responsible for managing capital funds and progress for pipeline and facility abandonment work.Responsible for communication and coordination of work with all partners (Asset Retirement team, Operations, Business Unit, Surface Land, Regulatory, etc.).Develop and maintain best practices for the work being performed.Who you are:Post-secondary education in Engineering or a related technology program is required.2+ years of industry experience.2+ years of decommissioning experience (facility or pipeline) considered an asset.Demonstrated experience in scheduling, decision and risk analysis, and budget and cost controls.Experience with project management.We acknowledge the value of transferrable skills and may consider equivalent combinations of experience and education should you not meet a specific requirement.NotificationTo be considered for a position, please click Apply and create an account or sign in to your Cenovus Careers profile.
