Site Agent

Abatec is working with a Civil Engineering contractor in the Somerset area and is seeking an experienced Site Agent on a freelance basis. Our client has been subcontracted the earthworks package on a highways scheme and requires an Agent with previous highways and earthworks experience in the civil engineering sector. As Site Agent you will: * Manage day-to-day operations on site, including labour/plant/materials allocation, temporary works, health and safety. * Ensure that projects are completed on budget, within programme deadlines and to our clients technical specifications. * Liaise regularly with Contracts Managers, providing programme and progress reports. * Identify and manage competence of the site team to identify any shortcomings ensuring delivery of the contract, ensuring team performance on the contract * Study drawings and technical documents and raise technical queries for clarification of any conflicting information Our client requires a Site Agent with: * Experience of working in a similar position within the Civils sector * Previous experience on highways and earthworks projects * SMSTS, First Aid at Work and CSCS Managers card * An ability to lead and direct, promoting a positive culture through inspirational leadership Salary/Benefits: * £350 - £400 a day Inside IR35 / CIS If you would like more information, or to apply for this vacancy, please contact Lloyd Barham on (phone number removed).
