General Manager – Janitorial Services

About our client:Our client is an established commercial cleaning company looking for a new General Manager. This person will manage operations and client relations. He or she will spend approximately 30% of their time on sales and 70% of their time on operations. We are looking for an individual with experience managing people across different geographical areas. The ideal candidate will have strong business acumen and experience building and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers. We welcome applicants from candidates who are self-starters, looking for an opportunity to grow a business.Responsibilities:Drive sales growth and manage client relationships.Oversee and manage janitorial staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency and quality of service.Handle administrative tasks, including scheduling, budgeting, and inventory management.Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.Participate in hands-on cleaning tasks when necessary.Initiate and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Qualifications:A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in the janitorial industry or a related service industry at the manager level.Proven experience in sales and business development.Strong leadership and team management skills.Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.Proficiency with technology, including scheduling software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office suite.Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and safety protocols.Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
