A research and development organisation are seeking a dynamic individual to lead the maintenance operations at a state-of-the-art research facility in Oxfordshire. This role oversees the smooth operation of complex systems across life sciences, energy infrastructure, agritech, and policy research environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, including GMP in laboratory settings.
  • Lead the implementation of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for optimal equipment performance.
  • Develop Planned Preventative and Predictive Maintenance programs.
  • Manage the calibration and validation of critical research instruments.
  • Oversee the operation of Building Management Systems (BMS) to ensure energy efficiency and control of environmental systems.
  • Supervise mechanical, electrical, and renewable energy systems.
  • Drive security and risk management strategies.
  • Collaborate with researchers and facility managers to align maintenance with research goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
  • Proven expertise in maintaining pharmaceutical, life sciences, energy, and agricultural research facilities.
  • Extensive experience in cross-disciplinary team leadership.
  • Familiarity with GMP, health and safety, and environmental standards.
  • Proficiency with CMMS for large facilities.

Preferred:

  • Certifications in GMP, NEBOSH, or CFM.
  • Experience with renewable energy systems.
