Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs? Uniform Education are seeking someone with experience of providing positive support to young people as an SEN Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a well-respected specialist school. Students attending the school are of primary age, and have specialised Educational, Health and Care Plans (EHCP) in place. The school itself looks to promote independence amongst students and to support their transition in to secondary education. Uniform Education are a well established educational agency supporting young people in over 250 schools across the Greater London and Hertfordshire areas, who are currently recruiting for a series of roles in both SEN and mainstream schools. For this role, relevant experience with children or adults with SEND in essential, particularly in encouraging re-integration to the community or schooling environment, and we look for strong communication, interpersonal and motivational skills. The right candidate must be able to demonstrate patience, empathy and a genuine passion for improving the lives of those in their care.
