Estimator – BMS - Reading HQ £40,000 - £50,000 Reading HQ – Remote Position Information on the role Seeking a skilled and experienced Estimator to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Building Management systems, commissioning, and engineering. This role is crucial for accurately estimating project costs, ensuring competitive and profitable bids, and contributing to the successful delivery of their automation solutions. Key Responsibilities: * Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial glazing projects. * Analyse project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive bids. * Collaborate with project managers, architects, and clients to understand project requirements and deliver cost-effective solutions. * Source and obtain quotes from suppliers and subcontractors. * Evaluate and assess potential risks and provide recommendations for cost control. * Maintain and update a database of cost information and pricing. Qualifications and Skills: * Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or relevant Estimating experience * Proven experience as an Estimator in the BMS/BMES/Building Management & Energy Systems sector * Strong analytical and numerical skills with a keen eye for detail. * Excellent communication and negotiation skills. * Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., MS Office, estimating software). * Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
